Mazars Vietnam sponsored Vietnam Tax Summit 2022 on 20th July 2022

Organized by CFO Vietnam, the inaugural Vietnam Tax Summit 2022 brought tax experts together to discuss the most critical developments in tax policy and regulation facing business leaders and tax professionals. The Summit provided delegates with fresh insight and diverse perspectives on the economic, geopolitical, and regulatory macrotrends affecting business organizations and the world of tax. The Summit was a platform to gain a greater understanding of these issues and how to take advantage of opportunities to be more agile and resilient financially. The Summit offered thought-provoking guest speakers, industry experts and tax specialists who delivered insightful presentations and panel discussions on tax, finance, and business strategies.

At the event, Mr. Minh Nguyen, Partner - Advisory services at Mazars Vietnam Nguyen delivered a speech on digital tax for foreign e-commerce suppliers. He made his assessment during the event, admitting there would be challenges for businesses as they have faced many problems in implementing local tax despite recent facilitation in tax filling. He also emphasized what European businesses want is simple and proper legal interpretation. Anything related to international standards and practices should be prioritized. Besides, he joined industry experts to talk through the gap between tax policy changes and actual implementation. The event came to fruition with more than 350 participants comprising accountants, auditors, and other finance professionals.
